past received their vaccine by my EP manager A bit about the processes My EP Manager was very helpful and responsible After I got the offer of S E P in Ho Chi Minh City I encountered some problem of using GIS Identity to finish my matching However she helped me solve the problem and finished the final matching procedure Besides the EP manager explained me everything and even shared her own outgoing exchange experience with me Regarding all practical matters like visa work permit vaccine injection I was provided with all the useful information such as where the interns in the past received their vaccine by my EP manager AIESEC Ho Chi Minh City organized different activities to help all interns understand more about Vietnamese culture and exchange their experiences For instance there was a welcoming party and language class at the beginning I learned some useful words like greeting and understood the Vietnamese living culture such as how to cross the road which is full of motorbike without being hit Sometimes the host LC organized city tour and food tour for us if we had day off During the food tour I got the chance to taste lots of special Vietnamese food like Vietnamese spring roll and bream Nearly the end of the project I joined the global village event and farewell party A bit about my experience Overall my impression of AIESEC is very positive I believe it is helpful in assisting people to develop their global thinking and leadership Since some interns of S E P are the member of AIESEC of their local countries they shown comprehensive thinking and excellent local public speaking during the discussion and workshops Therefore without a doubt I would recommend AIESEC to my friends I feel after the project I

  • AIESEC UNIC: ARE YOU WHERE YOU SHOULD BE? - AIESEC
feel most days that I have done just a little thing for this world to be a little bit better I get the chance to go to conferences abroad discuss current issues with other like minded people and get to know the culture and life of young people all over the world I pick up interns in the airport coming from the other side of the globe to work on their internship here in Copenhagen I get to know them teach them about Danish culture and hear everything about what life is like in their home country On a regular day I speak more English than Danish I get to be around people everyday that truly cares about the world and about what is going on in it not just their own reality I actually feel most days that I have done just a little thing for this world to be a little bit better That might sound cheesy But for me that is actually what it is like to be a member of AIESEC I have found it extremely liberating not to be afraid of saying that I want to make a difference in the world and take responsibility and make it my mission to be a positive impact on this planet and on the people around me That is also one of the main reasons why I am still active after two years and not planning to cut down anytime soon Because when you find something that makes you feel like the best version of yourself then that is probably where you should be when I m with the people in AIESEC and working all those hours I feel like the best version of myself I get to be around people everyday that truly cares about the world

  • What is the impact you make? - AIESEC
between AIESEC in Germany and Denmark were quite impressive The Danish plenary is or course considerably smaller but interestingly attracts way more international students than pure Danes In contrast Germany is lead by a majority of Germans which gives the organization also a stereotypically German culture the structures and processes are very organized and broad sometimes to the point of being a bit rigid like a Fortune 500 In AIESEC Denmark however you run into people with so many cultural backgrounds that it feels like an intercultural journey without leaving the country I have already held some titles so you might be wondering what keeps me around here For one the international environment made me a true cosmopolitan But I would be incomplete without the personal development that my engagement gives me and others You can feel yourself advancing in your mindset your abilities it enriches your confidence your perspectives I feel that I m always learning something new and unexpected It s a feeling that I wish any other person in the world to have It also makes you feel especially if you try yourself out in leadership positions that you are making an impact on others It s a responsibility and a challenge to make people have an extraordinary experience Oftentimes you have to go beyond the norms and standard procedures But only in this way you make other s discover what AIESEC is really about Taking joy in developing others and in turn bettering the world In my current role as Business Development Manager I do this on a quite abstract but also highly creative and social level I basically enable new capacities for the organization by fundraising and finding and engaging partnerships for strategic purposes and to make an impact in society With no experience in sales whatsoever taking up this responsibility was indeed very confusing to begin with But the guidance and inspiration I received from all around the world and the collaborative global network that we work in gives me fresh ideas whenever I m stuck On top it is very exiting to work for the Danish corporate world which is a forerunner in corporate social responsibility CSR as we discovered throughout a conference which highlighted the opportunities for CSR within the novel Sustainable Development Goals SDGs of the UN Based on the collaboration of AIESEC and the UN to align these SDGs towards the youth of the world a major project of mine is now to engage youth and senior leaders in Denmark and collaboratively develop project based solutions which tackle the fundamental challenges of the youth The exiting part about this challenge is that it is a really creative thing to do being in a Sales position No one tells you how to sell but you have to find your way around to talk to people and make business relations come to life You have to be open minded and sometimes surprisingly informal to open up a good dialogue It is a
