    Pedersen 2011 Historically the register also includes information on maternal and if known paternal identity for all persons born since 1960 and alive in 1968 and correspondingly information on all children alive in 1968 born to women born since 1935 alive in 1968 CRS contains complete information on immigrations and emigrations from 1969 onwards permanent residence in a Danish municipality from 1971 onwards and full address in Denmark from 1977 onwards The Danish National Patient Register The Danish National Patient Register NPR was established in 1977 Using the CRS number as key the register includes information on all hospital contacts the most important variables being hospital department date and time for hospital arrival and departure outpatient contact treatment and operation referral diagnosis action diagnosis other diagnoses and type of operation examination and treatment Lynge et al 2011 The scope of the register has gradually been expanded over the years in the beginning being limited to all admissions to somatic departments then in 1994 expanded to include also outpatient contacts to somatic departments and in 2007 to include information on contacts with psychiatric departments The Danish Pathology Register The Danish Pathology Register DPR was established in 1997 Using the patient CRS

    Biobank now offers biochemical and immunulogical assays 5 May 2015 The list of assays that the National Biobank Laboratory can offer now expands greatly with the acquisition of a COBAS 6000 analysis robot from Roche New guidelines to standardize the citation of bioresources 17 February 2015 The medical journal BMC Medicine has published a set of guidelines on how to cite biobanks Visitors second half year 2014 31 December 2014 The Danish National Biobank DNB collaborates with and advises a large number of national and international organisations Many of these visited the DNB during the second half year of 2014 among others The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan visits Statens Serum Institut 1 May 2014 The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan visited Statens Serum Institut SSI yesterday to learn about the Danish National Biobank and the unique opportunities it represents together with the Danish national health data DNA from Danish National Birth Cohort samples 27 November 2013 DNA from approx 65 000 samples from pregnant women in the Danish National Birth Cohort will be ready for use before the end of 2013 Collaboration with the Genetic biobank of the Faroes 26 November 2013 A cooperation between the Danish
