    percent For many Mols Linien is the preferred connection across the Kattegat and we expect further growth in traffic With so many transferred passengers and cars Mols Linien is a very important part of the infrastructure between East and West Denmark says Mols Linien s CEO Søren Jespersen The Company s revenue increased in 2015 by 58 9 million 9 6 percent to 670 8 million kroner from 611 9 million kroner the year before The company s operating profit before depreciation was 177 4 million kroner compared to 140 8 million kroner in 2014 Mols Linien has during 2015 continually expanded the number of departures The increase was 8 9 percent for the whole year and 14 4 percent for the period from August to December 2015 The new expressway to Odden Færgehavn has shortened travel time by at least 15 minutes so that the travel time between Aarhus and Copenhagen via the ferry route is approximately two hours A new catamaran ferry has been ordered for delivery in 2017 and is being built The new ship is the same size as KatExpress 1 and KatExpress 2 and is expected to start operations in May 2017 The new ferry will increase its capacity to 400 000 cars per year Mols Linien expects the total market for passenger cars between East and West Denmark in 2016 will increase by approximately two percent In view of increasing traffic volume in 2015 and expectation for the total market for 2016 there is expected to be transferred approximately 1 3 million passenger car units representing an increase of 3 9 percent compared to 2015 The company has secured a firm oil price in Danish kroner for the whole of 2016 with fixed price contracts Mols Linien therefore expects a positive result in 2016
