  • Ports » Thyborøn will double the gravel exports
of raw materials can be transported It is much cheaper to transport it by train than by truck and it is also more environmentally friendly as trains can transport many tons It could make it really interesting to increase gravel transport through Thyborøn if it is successful says Jesper Holt Jensen director of Thyborøn Initially there will be established a track loop that connects Thyborøn and Vemb circuit so the 800 meter long and heavy freight trains will bypass the town of Lemvig They hope that the state will cover some of the project which amounts to 30 million kroner The transport rapporteur from Radikale supports the project which will reduce CO2 emissions by 3 000 tons per year compared to what the 6 000 trucks annually performing transport emits I think it is realistic and Thyborøn has good opportunities to qualify for some money It s a total win win because Thyborøn is perfect in relation to operate the port said Andreas Steenberg transport rapporteur for Radikale Source TV2 MidtVest Maritime Denmark Front page Copyright Maritime Denmark Breaking News Biggest cruise ship opens the season Frederikshavn Harbour expansion live Another record year for Hirtshals Harbour Esbjerg Harbour invests in
